Pudong Grade 1: Trail Mix Creator

On March 26th, grade one students at SHSID Pudong Campus brought their favorite nuts to the classroom and made their own trail mix. In the science class on Tuesday, students shared the various nuts they brought within their group in order to have an authentic view on how different solids could be mixed together. This interesting experiment was designed to enhance students’ understanding on physical or chemical changes. From this little experiment, students had a better understanding of what physical changes are, as well as the differences between physical changes and chemical changes.
