Grades 5-6: Chinese Native Language School Textbook Feedback
SHSID G5-6 Chinese teacher Ms. Zhuo, along with Ms. Liu Dong, Ms. Yao Lili, Ms. Chen Fan, Mr. Wu Xiaodong, Mr. Li Teng, and Ms. Tian Lijiao, compiled the grade 5 Chinese textbook based on International School teaching practices and actual student learning (2).
The textbook is based on various humanistic themes, including "children's fun", which is related to the growth of student minds, "life and love" for students to reflect on human nature, and "Guxian Mingzhi" for students to have a preliminary understanding of Chinese national studies. At the same time, each unit is equipped with the characteristic teaching activities of the three modules, which aim to cultivate interest in extensive reading and stimulate exploration of various human emotions. The textbook will now be put into use as it has been well evaluated by teachers and students. Of course, as there is an inevitable risk for deficiencies, our teachers and students will also check and fill in any gaps to improve the textbook. We hope that it will also provide reference for the preparation of Chinese textbooks for the sixth grade.
