D.E.A.R at SHSID

On March 25th, all of the primary students at SHSID participated in the D.E.A.R activity as a part of our reading month.

D.E.A.R is the abbreviation for Drop Everything and Read. When the students heard the school bell, everyone dropped whatever they were doing and read wherever they were. The students read on the classroom floor, in the corridor, sitting on the stairs, and even squeezed inside their cubby! They read everywhere in our primary school!

Our aim for this activity and for the reading month in general is to let our students discover the joy of reading. No matter where life takes them, we hope that they will always be able to enjoy a good book.
