Grade 7: Recycling Activity

March 22, 2019

While the spring rains are cool and continuous, the atmosphere is heating up in the 7th grade. A special event was held on Thursday afternoon during CAS. Everyone was divided into 8 groups, occupying the entire class space. The teacher gave each group three papers. On them, there were four tasks as well as data about humans overusing the environment and creating garbage. The message: if we don’t do something right now, we will lose the earth. There were pieces of paper around the room with questions to test how much the classmates knew about recycling and trash, as well as a code to crack. The students finished this small task first, and most of them had some ideas on how to complete the rest. The whole activity went smoothly. Some groups spent a lot of time on the stations, while others went quickly. Time went so fast that no one noticed. When the bell rang, some of the students did not want to leave. This activity is not just leisure time, but a call for the students to care more about the environment.
