The students gathered at school and took the school bus to the elder’s house. Once they arrived, the students separated into two groups according to their grade. The students carried boxes filled with the small gifts and delivered them to every elder. During the process, the Elders delightedly greeted the students and thanked them for visiting. Some grandparents were very conversable, holding the children's hands, chatting about their own family and thinking about their grandchildren. Time flies quickly, and it was soon time to say goodbye. The grandparents repeatedly told the students to study hard and accompany their family more. Some elders invited the students to see them next time with enthusiasm.

The students said that it reminded them of their relatives who lived outside of Shanghai and they would spend more time with their family and friends.
