Puxi Grades 3-4: Roald Dahl’s Week
'A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men' - Willy Wonka
Roald Dahl is one of the greatest children's authors of the past century. He led a very interesting life, which resulted in him writing stories based on some of the weird and wonderful characters he encountered in his time. This is the second year that 3rd and 4th graders have honored his work. Each weekday had a different costume theme based on characters from our favorite books. One of the highlights of this week included a visit to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Students had the opportunity to choose two themed rooms to visit. Some molded their own chocolate and some had the opportunity to experiment with a green screen. On Thursday, both 3rd and 4th graders were lucky enough to see a short performance from the musical Matilda, performed by our very own students. They then participated in a Roald Dahl Game Show. We ended the day with an idiom scavenger hunt. We have had an absolutely crazy, exciting, and fun week. We already can't wait for next year!
