Puxi Grades 1-2: Dr. Seuss Week— Twisted Tuesday

March 19, 2019

Dr. Seuss, one of the most popular American children’s authors, has created so many wonderful characters. Accompanied by the fairytale stories of Dr. Seuss, children have grown up generation by generation. From March 18 to 22, the first and second grade teachers at SHSID’s primary section have planned a series of fun activities. March 19 is “Twisted Tuesday” in celebration of one of the most famous books by Dr. Seuss. Teachers read the book with the students and watched Dr. Seuss movies together. The students tried their best to try to be twisted by wearing two different shirts together or different shoes. Some even cut a hole in a pillow and used the pillow as a hat!

Dr. Seuss used concise and exaggerated language to create lots of fun plots in his books, transporting children into a powerful fairytale world. Many characters in his books have strong personalities. We hope every child will love reading and discover who they really are in the process.
