March 19, 2019

On the morning of Saturday, March 16, nearly 100 teachers, students, and parents from Shanghai High School International Division (SHSID) came to Shanghai Botanical Garden on Baise Road to participate in the Thai Garden painting activities at the Shanghai (International) Flower Fair in 2019.

Director Wu of Shanghai Botanical Garden and Principal Ma of SHSID high school delivered speeches for the event. According to the director, the Thai Garden scenic spot is an international exhibition attraction constructed by the Thai Consulate General in Shanghai and the Shanghai Botanical Garden. The garden design takes the Thai cultural element as its feature to create a Thai style garden.

The design of scenic spots is based on work of Thai designers. Students and teachers from SHSID, staff of Shanghai Botanical Garden, and volunteers from the community completed wonderful creative activities with paint brushes.

During this activity, students experienced the beauty of art and nature by drawing the artistic patterns of the bridge. The painted bridge symbolizes cultural exchange and friendship, and it strengthens the exchanges between the school and our communities.
