March 17, 2019

To celebrate math week, grade 4 teachers at SHSID Pudong campus prepared a lot of interesting math activities for the 4th graders. On March 14, Pi Day, the 4th graders delightfully jumped into the classroom to show their artwork to the teachers. The students each wore a hand-made “Math T-shirt”; the teachers were dressed up for math theme, as well. Surrounded by curious students, the teachers explained the mathematical knowledge behind their outfits. After, it was time for the much-anticipated activity: Math Carnival. In the afternoon, the students walked through different homerooms and experienced elaborately designed math games under the guidance of homeroom teachers. At the end of the day, the kids cheerfully tasted delicious pie prepared by the school. Not only did the 4th graders have great fun on Pi day, but they also learned a lot of knowledge related to math and practiced their problem solving and communicating skills. What a meaningful day!
