Puxi Grade 4: Math Carnival

March 13, 2019

As an essential subject, mathematics plays an important role in a child’s life. From primary school to college, math has accompanied almost every child's educational career. It is Math Week from March 11th to March 15th, so the “π Challenge”, “Math Themed Handbags Design”, and “Math Carnival”, a series of math-related activities and games, were carried out in fourth grade.

During the CAS class on March 13th, the Math Carnival was held in fourth grade. The fourth graders could engage themselves in the following three activities: Moving the Match Sticks, 24 Point Game, and Hot Seat. Students worked in groups to solve different problems. Students got 10 points when they answered one question correctly and the winning group got a reward. They immersed themselves in the world of math. Some jumped for joy when they solved a problem successfully, some wracked their brains to answer a question, and some excitedly counted their points. The Math Carnival was aimed to stimulate students’ interest in learning mathematics. We hope that the fourth-grade students can truly discover the infinite mystery of mathematics.

During the upcoming “π Day”, we expect that the students will enjoy the joy of mathematics in the “π Challenge” and “Scavenge Hunt”.
