Pudong Grade 2: Read and Feed Your Brain

March is Reading Month at Pudong campus, so we bought a lot of new books to encourage students to read more and read better. But how could students choose the right book for them among the thousands of options? The New Book Recommendations that took place during the fourth week.

In order to give good recommendations to the students, teachers from grades one to grade three spent lots of time in the library sorting different books according to different Lexile range. The teachers also taught students strategies on how to find or identify a good book. Additionally, some teachers highly recommended certain books or authors according to their personal preference. The higher grades also gave out some fantastic recommendations for books that they used to like to read.

After receiving lots of new book recommendations, students were highly interested in reading; they couldn’t wait to go to the library and use the books to feed their brain.
