Grades 9-10: PTSA Meeting
On the afternoon of March 7th, representatives from the 9th and 10th grade Parent School Association held their first meeting of the semester. It was hosted by Director Liu Min, while Principle Ma also came to address the issues and concerns of parents and students.
First, President Ma discussed high school course selection, school curriculum development, and college applications. He then advised parents to focus on their children's internal drive, hoping that parents will be more objective and rational about their children's choice of courses and college applications. Principle Ma encourages parents to focus their energy and time on the right things and urges students to take advantage of the opportunities that the school offers in terms of student selectivity, including high-level courses, varsity school teams, research projects, as well as various types of competitions and activities. At the same time, he also reminded parents and students that the purpose of these activities is so that students can focus on their own development and remain optimistic. Finally, he also talked about the advantages of attending SHSID.
Subsequently, 9-10 grade Director Yu and Director Zhang also made brief speeches, calling parents to actively participate in career day activities and introducing the Duke of Edinburgh Award as a useful resource.
The meeting achieved good results, and the parents present commented that the meeting was very helpful to them.
