Junior Section Math Group: IMMC2019 Results
After careful consideration, the list of teams for the fifth International Mathematical Modeling Challenge Competition (IMMC2019) have been published. Three groups of SHSID junior section mathematics teams have successfully qualified for the fifth International Mathematical Modeling Challenge Competition 2019.

Lucas Wu, Jonathan Zou, Eric He, Ivan Yuan, Max Liu, Harrison Chen, Brian Zheng, Michel Guo, Matthias Yan, William Li, and Harry Li have earned their spots in this highly anticipated and prestigious competition. Rather than judging participants by their success or failure, IMMC emphasizes collaboration and teamwork by evaluating the problem-solving process, as well as the whole solution. As Einstein said, "In the years of anxious exploration in darkness, there is a strong desire, alternating confidence and fatigue, and eventually a light that only those who have experienced can understand" (Einstein, 1934, 'Notes on the Origin of the General Theory of Relativity'). The persistent efforts of these distinguished students and their mentors have enabled them to reach new mathematical heights, proving that resiliency is the key to academic success.

We hope that these students inspire others to set high goals for themselves and work hard until they are reached!
