Grade 11: College Counseling Course

February 28, 2019

On February 26th, the 11th graders were given a lecture on how to select colleges that suit them best. Features of the guideline included a self-assessment of one’s capability, passions, and learning style, questions to ask oneself about precisely what kind of college one would prefer, and how they planned to carry out this crucial period of college consideration and selection.

The students were then separated into several groups to complete a worksheet of essential details concerning any of the colleges they were thinking of applying to, as well as a document on college types in relation to the students’ own estimate of their acceptance chances into the college. This college list will be an organized, efficient way for students to evaluate the colleges they have thought of applying to and help them in the near future during the long-awaited, much stressed over college application season.
