Pudong Grade 3: Welcome to My Fabulous Holiday!

On Monday, Feb. 25, the 3rd graders of Pudong campus shared their wonderful holiday experiences with their classmates.

One of the Chinese holiday assignments was to record the Spring Festival routine of the students’ hometowns. The students shared various ways to celebrate the splendid festival. The students from Singapore and Malaysia showed their special way to celebrate Chinese New Year—the Fish Plate. They stirred up fish and veggies in a big plate while whispering, “Lo Hei”, which means good luck for the new year. The students from North China talked about the “Dumplings Banquet”. The students from the U.S. shared their first experience of the Spring Festival in China.

For math class, they presented their math project—My Birthday Plan. In the project, they not only focused on the calculating, but designing pictures. They presented proudly and explained why their plan was reasonable.
