In order to further enhance the international students' understanding of traditional Chinese culture, the middle school Chinese teachers gave the students a holiday assignment at the end of last semester: to design a lantern, which they presented after returning from the break. After a careful selection by the teachers, 45 outstanding lanterns were selected and displayed on the wall poster in the 6^thgrade. Mei lan Zhu ju’s creative red fire lantern design brought a joyful atmosphere to the entire 6^th grade corridor, while the picturesque lanterns with landscape paintings and the carefully crafted handmade lanterns all carried the students' blessings for the new year. These exemplified the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture and received high praise from the teachers and the parents.

Through this activity, the teachers hope that their students not only improved their hands-on and appreciation skills, but also developed their own innovative thinking, a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture, and inherited Chinese culture.
