Puxi Grade 2: Students Learned about Network Footprint and Tried to be qualified Digital Citizens

January 10, 2019

During the personal growth class on January 9th, Puxi second graders were introduced to a new section of the “Digital Citizenship” series: network footprints.

Second grade teachers showed a video explaining that the online world is like our real world; everything they do will leave a footprint. If they browse web pages, enter passwords, and input addresses or phone numbers, a unique footprint will be generated for that certain person. Therefore, students need to have accurate judgment to determine whether a web page or a form is safe and to make sure their information is safe.

During the “Digital Citizenship” series, students not only learned how to socialize online in an educated way, but also learned how to protect themselves on the Internet. The virtual world is inseparable from the real world. Educating qualified digital citizens is also one of the important goals of the school to cultivate “global citizens”.
