Puxi Grade 4: Changqiao No.2 Nursing Home and School Radio Station in Rural Areas
Although it was a cold day, with the strong urge of charity, representatives of Puxi’s fourth graders visited Changqiao No.2 Nursing Home on 3rd January, and donated 20,000RMB that was raised during the previous Charity Fair. The childish faces of our students reminded the elders in the nursing home of their grandsons and granddaughters. They talked happily with our students. After an introduction of the Nursing Home by the nursing home director, each student sent their best wishes to the elders for the coming Chinese New Year.
For School Radio Station in Rural Areas, this public welfare project is a long-term plan aimed to build some school radio stations in remote areas and thus enrich kids’ cultural life there. After each radio station is built up, hosts from Dongguang News Radio will be sent to those rural areas to train the students and teachers there and cooperate with them for the radio program. Besides, kids in those remote areas will be invited to Shanghai to experience the daily routine life of a radio host. The Charity Fair donated 40,000RMB to the School Radio Station in Rural Areas.
A bit of fragrance clings to the hands that give flowers. We hope that all the fourth graders can know that in one hand, doing charity work is a kind of giving love to others, and in the other hand, they will recieve love from doing charity.
