Time Capsule—A Reunion of the Class of 2013

January 2, 2019

On the afternoon of December 22, 2018, one day after the 25th SHSID Anniversary Ceremony, nearly 50 alumni from the class of 2013 gathered on the campus again, hoping to dig out the “time capsule” they buried on the day of their graduation ceremony.

In June of 2013, during SHSID’s 20th year, a group of students buried their memory box under a ginkgo tree on campus. Five years later, they united on the SHSID campus again, hoping the memory box could be unearthed.

Since the arrangement of the plants was changed last year, the exact location had been lost. After over three hours of strenuous effort, the time capsule was finally discovered.

The alumni then stepped into the Xianmian Building to discover what was inside the time capsule. As they opened up the box, memories flooded into everyone’s minds.

On the SHSID campus, the alumni and their former teachers reconnected with each other and shared this precious moment. SHSID family members are together whenever, wherever. Let’s look forward to celebrating SHSID’s 30th Anniversary in the future!
