Primary School Subjects Department: The 5th STEMx Competition

The 5^th Shanghai STEMx Contest was held at the No.2 Middle School Affiliated to Tongji University on Dec. 23^th. Hundreds of contestants from schools all over the city participated in this event! Students from our primary section took part in the creative building contest. Although it was during Christmas break, four students from both the Pudong and Puxi campuses formed the SHSID Team to represent the primary school. With 20 other teams from different schools, they finished their racecars with the provided K’nex packet in 30 minutes. The final results will be announced later this week. Through this event, our young engineers learnt the basics of building a racecar, realized the power of gears, and most of all, enjoyed their exploration. We believe that these engineers will definitely surprise us with greater designs in the future.
