G7-8: 25th Anniversary Series Activities

December 28, 2018

Recently, the winning photos and essays have been on display on the first floor of the Middle School Building. What are the photos and essays for? They are gifts for the 25th birthday of SHSID!

In order to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of SHSID, Middle School has organized many events. The Photography Competition and SHSID Essay Writing Competition are two of them.

The Photography Competition is for each student to display their talent and to give their artwork an audience. Students were invited to take photos of our campus, and because of how big our school is, each photo was unique.

The SHSID essay writing competition is open to all students, too. Participants write an essay about their life at SHSID, and what fun activities or unforgettable experiences they have had in SHSID; and every essay, every page, every word that the students have written, contain a special memory that is precious to that student.

Through photos and excerpts, we can really see how much SHSID means to many of the students here, “SHSID is really like my second home, where I gradually grow and mature.” In one of the photos, we see the golden yellow leaves fluttering onto the bushes. In another photo, we can see a group of students working together during the tug-of-war competition. This shows how SHSID has helped bond different people from different backgrounds together. We may not know each other that well, but we have cried and laughed together, we are a family.

The 25th Anniversary of our school has allowed us to realize how much our lives revolve around our school and the many memories that we have made in this school that we will never forget. But the fun is not over yet, and on December 21st, we will be having cake and celebrating our school’s official 25th Anniversary!
