Traditional Chinese Clothing Fashion Show

In the early morning of December 4th, the students of the G5-6 began to dress up carefully. From clothing, to hairstyles and even shoes, they chose looks with strong Chinese elements thought to be prominent in ancient times.

Chinese Culture Week included a series of activities, including traditional Chinese manuscript design, the long-tang game, the “New Palace Museum” documentary, and the Chinese traditional clothing fashion show. The fashion show was a true highlight of Chinese Culture Week. A lot of teachers and students participated and contributed many creative ideas, which ranged from traditional Tang-Yun Qin-style to a unique Beijing opera. We all admired the endless creativity of the students!

To lend further significance to the event, the teachers also required that students share the historical background of their costume as well as its pattern and meaning. This event was an invaluable cultural experience!
