Pudong Grade 3: Science Class with Dow

On Nov. 29th, the third graders at Pudong campus had a fascinating science class with Maggie, a scientist from Dow.

Maggie started the class with real-life examples and introduced the concept of Protective coloration. She then took the students to dive into the microscopic world to explore the component of colors. After that, Maggie talked about the application of bio mimicry in real life. The students listened carefully and asked lots of valuable questions. At last, Maggie explained that scientists raise a hypothesis, observe, analyze, and apply what they’ve discovered to our lives. This is highly related to what the students need to do in the Science Fair. After this special science class, the students have all kinds of new thoughts about science.
