Puxi Grade 4: School Radio Station in Rural Areas

November 20, 2018

During the P&B class on November 15th, a public welfare project called School Radio Station in Rural Areas, which was launched by Ashine Public Welfare Development Center and Dongguang News Radio, had an introductary speech in the auditorium of the primary section. This public welfare project is a long-term plan aiming to build school radio stations in remote areas in order to enrich kids’ cultural experience. After each radio station is built, hosts from Dongguang News Radio will be sent to those rural areas to train the kids and teachers as well as cooperate with them to do the radio program. Kids in those remote areas will also be invited to Shanghai to experience the daily routine life of a radio host. Since some of the money raised in the coming charity fair will go to this public welfare project, it’s of great importance for the fourth graders to have a better understanding of how their donations can help people in need. After this speech, the students are more excited for the coming charity fair and are more willing to give others a hand in the future!
