Pudong Campus: Welcome Telok Kurau Primary School

Getting ready to face the second half of this semester, the refreshed students of SHSID Pudong division were back to school in high spirits after a short break followed by mid-term exam! On the morning of November 12th, we were excited to meet our new friends: students and teachers from Telok Kurau Primary School in Singapore. Surrounded by warm applause, our new friends stepped onto the stage in the auditorium and introduced themselves with great enthusiasm during the morning assembly period.

The students from both schools had a wonderful performance on the stage. After exchanging sweet gifts with SHSID, the students and teachers from Telok Kurau Primary School were invited into the 4th and 5th graders’ classrooms and observed different lessons including Music, Art, P.E., and Chinese lessons.

In a harmonious atmosphere, both teachers and students had a heated discussion about curriculum and school life with each other and shared their experience. After two periods of classes came the snack break, during which the students shared delicious food and said goodbye to each other. Not only did the visit provide the two schools with precious opportunity to communicate, but also the students made new friends and experienced different school culture.
