Local and International History Department Activity

On November 9th, 2018, History teachers of the Local and International Division visited the “Napoleon” Special Exhibition at the Shanghai Himalayas Museum. The exhibits include the paintings and sculptures created for Napoleon, precious manuscripts, the Napoleon Code, jewelries, military supplies, furniture, and daily necessities. Under the lead of the guide, all of the visitors went through the A-E exhibition areas, including the Hero of an Era, Glorious Legend, Romantic Reality, Historical Review, and Family Glory, which shows the whole legendary life of Napoleon and his contributions in politics, law, business, and civil affairs. It’s a great opportunity for history lovers to observe so many original, first-hand materials and art treasures closely and try to feel like a person living in the period of Napoleon. All of the history teachers learned a lot form the exhibition.
