Primary and Middle School Math Department : Australian Mathematics Competition Award

November 1, 2018

On September 22nd, there were 14,500,000 students from 32 countries that participated in the 2018 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). AMC is held by the Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT), a national not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to enrich mathematics learning for students of all levels. AMC sets 5 difficulty levels for students from 3rd to 12th grade.

Students from 3rd to 8th grade participated in this competition and achieved excellent results. In level A, B, C, 1 student won the Prize; 14 students won the first prize (High Distinction); 86 students won the second prize (Distinction); 168 students won the third prize (Credit).

While gaining honor and affirmation, students encountered novel and multi-lingual questions in the competition. They were able to learn deeply and further realize the importance of mathematics in life. We hope all students produce similarly excellent results in the coming math competitions.
