Grade 11: Week 6 Junior Assembly

On October 25th, students from the 11th grade attended the morning assembly in XMT Annex Auditorium. Terumi from 11(3) held a presentation for his club called ECO CAP.

ECO CAP was originally established by a Japanese nonprofit organization, and it collects bottle caps in order to resell them and gather money for donation. The donation aims at recycling caps and donates the money for different purposes, particularly purchasing vaccines for African children who urgently need them. Although ECO CAP is devoted to donation, Terumi emphasized that the essential purpose of this club is to heighten the environmental awareness among the students and even parents of SHSID. Terumi then explained the importance of collecting caps and bottles. He explained that the material from bottles make it easy for members of the club to collect, handle, and dispose. Finally, Terumi shared a QR code of the ECO CAP WeChat group, encouraging everyone to actively participate in environmental protection activities.
