PBL of ‘Beauty of Architecture
PBL of ‘Beauty of Architecture
On October 11th, the PBL class of ‘Beauty of Architecture’ directed by Lejun Li, did their second experiment. The topic was “bouncing ball”, where students are allowed to perform their experiment at a lab being described as “advanced”,” with “extremely expensive instruments”. Since the teacher gave a rather open topic with few limitations, students designed their own experiments using their open minds and created a variety of different experiments. Some measured the correlation between the height a ball is dropped and the sound level of the bounce by the ball against the floor, while some measured the relationship between the height the ball is dropped and the time needed to reach the ground. With the help from the advanced instruments the lab provided, the experiments were all well-conducted and the data was recorded, then applied on the following classes in order to create a lab report. For most of them, it was the first time they ever wrote a lab report in this form, they still worked efficiently. The finalized version of the lab report ends next week, and there we will see what the result turns out.(Written by 9(8) Yunhao Zhang Picture by Lejun Li Supervised by Lejun Li)
