High School Biology Department: Professional Development Training

On October 19th, the high school biology teachers’ professional development (PD) training was held in room 202, Xianmian Building. Mr. Portillo, the foreign teacher of the biology department, hosted this training. The topic was “Activities in higher level thinking”.

During the training, high school biology teachers conducted a highly interactive lesson and participated in diverse higher level thinking activities.

The training was well prepared and greatly beneficial, transforming higher level thinking from an abstract concept to various activities. Through this training, biology teachers got a better understanding of what higher level thinking is, and learnt useful activities that could be applied in their classes to improve students’ higher level thinking skills.
