Pudong Grade 1: Class Pet

In order to encourage our students to become more caring and responsible global citizens, two sweet companions were introduced to all the first graders as our class pets. This year, our class pets were Sparkle and Squishy—two stuffed animal creatures. Students with great class participation and daily performances have the chance to take them home. Students who take them home were invited to undergo different experiences with Sparkle and Squishy, and then write them down in the class journal. While students loved the class pets, they learnt how to care for others along the way.
