Puxu Grade 1： Halloween Project

The first grade teachers in SHSID are always trying to implement cross-curricular learning in our lessons for our students. This time, the teachers combined Chinese and IT for a Halloween activity on the iPads.

All the first graders are required to create a movie with iMovie. Four Chatterpix videos will be included and connected into the movie. The students will take a record of four different Halloween characters in Chinese with Chatterpix. Finally, the students will upload the movie to Seesaw and share with all the teachers and classmates.

One of the projects goals is for our students to be familiar with and be able to use many different iPad applications such as Chatterpix, Brush, and iMovie. The students will also practice their oral and written Chinese as well, since they need to take the records using Chatterpix and write what they want to say down in advance.

All the first grade teachers are looking forward to seeing the students’ excellent work on November 4th. The first grade teachers will continue to work on creating cross-curricular lessons and activities, and improve the students’ comprehensive abilities in the future.
