Continual Professional Workshop III

Continual Professional Workshop III of SHSID High School was held in the Xianmian Building on October 19th, 2018, among all of the High School teachers.

The theme of this year’s workshop was the Students’ Comprehensive Evaluation.

At 1:00 p.m., all high school teachers gathered in the XMT Auditorium. The first part of the workshop was a lecture. A Keynote Speech on the new student evaluation system was given by Principal Ma. He introduced a new school data base that included all student profile information in one map. In his speech, he outlined why, how, and who to evaluate. He emphasized that an effective evaluation is not only a science, but also an art. Afterwards, Mr. Slonim gave a speech on definitions for each of the student competency factor indices.

The second part of the workshop was group discussions. The teachers held lively debates on the rubrics according to the criterion of each subject. All of the faculty tried their best to contribute to an optimized and scientific evaluation system.
