Grade 7: Field Trip
Grade 7: Field Trip
On the bright day of October 18th, seventh grade students packed up and prepared for the field trip to Gongqing Forest Park. Students prepared their lunches with excited eyes as they engaged in their first task: a picnic in the grass. The sun shined brightly as they readied themselves for the activities to come.
The park had ten activities available for the students and each of them was fun and interesting. Most of the students’ favorite activities included crossing through the paper loop and balancing a ball through PVC tubes.
"Crossing the paper loop" was a puzzle game that required knowledge and intellect, as the contestants were given 3 pieces of A3 paper and were requested to cut one piece of paper into a long and narrow loop. The team members could only complete the challenge by passing through the loop without damaging it or using glue of any kind on the loop’s structure. Almost every single student enjoyed the process of straining his or her brain to think of a solution to the puzzle.
The other activity loved by students involved balancing a ball through PVC tubes. Each student was given a PVC tube, and they were all required to work together to get the ball to the end of the trail. Working together as a team to complete to reach the end of the trail was a satisfying challenge for every student.
The field trip served as yet another great memory for us to hold onto.
