Primary Subjects Department: Brainstorming on PD Day

Oct. 19th was the teachers’ Professional Development Day at SHSID and the teachers of the primary subjects department had a session together in the afternoon.

With the development of our curriculum, more and more after school clubs are open and are warmly welcomed by our students, especially the science related clubs. At the beginning of the session, Mr. Joines and Mr. Mahoney from the Pudong campus introduced their science clubs to the other teachers and explained how these clubs can help our students develop their science skills. We believe that there will soon be more science related clubs available for our students.

After the presentation, our teachers brainstormed open classes by grade. We all believe that a strong open class requires the wisdom of the whole group.

Our teachers had a better understanding of their work after the PD day and are sure to work with a clearer goal.
