Second, students should have their parents’ supervision while they search online. Third, be aware of the malicious software when downloading things from the internet. Fourth, don’t be distracted by novel and fun software. Last, students need to learn how to focus and how to use their time wisely.

Students should be aware that there are traps on the internet. Students need to be cautious when a website asks for their personal information. The information given can cause potential danger. Students need get permission from parents before filling in personal information.

Don’t indulge in online games

The temptation of online games cannot be neglected. Elementary school students would rather spend more time and money on online games than internet research. Learning to balance time online is essential at an early age. Together, students and parents should set an appropriate limit for online consumption.

The negative consequences caused by the internet aren’t always immediately apparent. It can be difficult for parents and teachers to discover problems that students may have online the first time and solve them. It is important that students and parents are proactive about internet usage and safety. Communicating clear guidelines and adult supervision are important pieces of internet safety.
