Grades 5-6: Charity Carnival

On October 11th, the 5th and 6th graders of SHSID were thrilled to have the annual Charity Carnival. Compared to last year, the charity fair, charity concert, and sports meet changed quite a bit.It was the first time a teacher’s sports meet was held, in which the teachers would take on 30-second challenges and the students could vote for their favorite participant.

The signature wall for the charity sports marathon was moved to the starting place of the marathon, which attracted more and more people to get involved. Moreover, the charity concert was divided into 4 different sections this year so that parents and students could attend it more conveniently.

Taking part in one of the charity tasks allowed students to get a stamp on their Charity Carnival passport, and those who took part in all 4 different charity tasks could win a special prize.Organizing a charity event is a noble endeavor. In order to ensure success, it required careful planning, dedication, and a substantial investment of time. The school also provided online tickets to further convenience the parents. The brilliantly colored wristbands of the charity concert also caught everyone’s eye. We hope that all of the new elements made this event a genuine carnival experience for everyone.

In addition, it was wonderful to see the 6th graders from East Shanghai High school join in on the fun. We would like to make the Charity Carnival a welcoming event to all who support it.As the saying goes, “The more you give, the more you receive.” Students grew their character through organizing and presenting the event, and the rewards of Charity Carnival were well worth the effort.
