Primary Subjects Department: A Field Trip to the Google AI Exibition

Just before the National Day’s holiday, 2ndgraders from Pudong campus had another exciting science event – this time outside of the school.

Our classes were lucky enough to get entrance to the Google AI Exhibition. Students learned about this innovative technology in an engaging and interactive way. For example, one program had students drawing pictures while the Google AI tried to match famous works of art with the drawings. Another had students choose two different famous works of art from a database, and showed their connection based on a variety of factors including style, color, composition and time period. Finally, they got to try Google’s translating power by holding up signs in English, and seeing their signs translated into Chinese in real time by a Google camera.

Students and teachers had a wonderful day learning and experiencing technology of the future.
