Grade 11: Junior Assembly -- STEM Competitions

On September 20th, another junior assembly was held. The STEM coordinator, Mr. Liao Hui, took this time to introduce a variety of STEM competitions to encourage more students to participate and discuss the high possibility of winning awards. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math; these competitions champion innovation and scientific research. Mr. Liao Hui introduced competitions from the Brain Bee to the Physics Bowl. He also mentioned that some competitions require research papers, while others do not. The assembly gave students a clear sense of diversity. These competitions are a good opportunity for students who wish to better represent themselves academically.
