Pudong Grade 2: Get your goggles ready for Science

Grade 2 students are loving science! The young learners started the school year off with the scientific method. First, students learned all about the steps of the scientific method. Then, they made observations about the natural world that led them to a scientific question. The second graders used their prior knowledge to come up with hypotheses and even got to test them! Mr. Calvo and Ms. Franks taught the students about the importance of safety and using scientific tools properly. Students were able to explore thermometers, balances, graduated cylinders, and more. One of the most important safety tools the class used were goggles and even got to make a pair of their own! Check out the pictures to see Grade 2 students practicing safety in science class!
