Pudong Grade 1: Story Mom

Two special guests came to tell the first graders a new story! On September 25th, 2018, the grade one students were glad to have Story Moms come to the class and read them a wonderful story. This time, our story moms started with introducing themselves and demonstrating a new clapping pattern to show appreciation. By doing this, the students not only had a sense of who the story moms were, but also what story moms did. Grade one students were excited when the story moms started to tell a story. They raised their hands eagerly when they didn’t understand the plot or discussed with story moms. Through this precious opportunity to bring parents and students closer together, the story mom event also nurtures students’ literacy level by raising their interest in reading.
