Pudong Grade 4: Making Lanterns in the Unforgettable Mid-Autumn Festival

The wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival is coming. On September 18th, the 4th graders of SHSID Pudong Division celebrated this traditional Chinese festival in a P&B class together with their teachers. Surrounded by elaborate decorations, the Chinese homeroom teachers introduced the customs and legends of the Mid-Autumn Festival to 4th graders in their classrooms. While listening to their teacher’s speech, students made cute “Yutu” handwork together and tasted delicious moon cakes. After that came the highlight of the Mid-Autumn Festival activities: Making colorful lanterns. Utilizing their rich imagination, the kids created exquisite works that impressed the teachers and brought happiness to everyone present. The classrooms were beautifully lit by the lanterns and filled with the 4th graders’ best wishes.
