Grade 10: Biology Curriculum Info Session for Parents’ Meeting

The high school biology curriculum info session for the grade 10 parents’ meeting was held on September 14th in Room 207 of the ZXB. Ms. Li Yongchi, an AP biology teacher, explained the high school biology courses available at SHSID, and the differences in course content, learning objectives, and prerequisites. Ms. Li also spoke about biology competitions for high school students as well as possible careers for biology majors. Parents paid full attention to her lecture. After, Ms. Li answered parents’ questions, such as how AP/IB/A-level exam scores affect college application and how to move up from standard to honors level. The info session gave parents an overview of the high school biology curriculum at SHSID, allowing parents to help their children choose courses that best fit their needs.
