English Department of Middle and Primary School: Foreign Teacher Workshop

Friday afternoon, September 14th, Primary School teachers participated in a professional development implementing the use of centers in the classroom. Led by Candice Clemente and Jamie Forman, teachers in grades 1-4 learned how to use hands on activities in the classroom to spark student interests. Our teachers discussed a variety of strategies to help centers be engaging and meaningful, while sharpening and extending skills learned in the classroom. At the end of the professional development, the teachers were able to experience these centers first hand by participating in mock activities. Our teachers are looking forward to using what they learned with their students!
