Grade12:Lecture regarding the College Admission Interview

In the afternoon of Sep 14th, Ryan Huang delivered a lecture to 12th graders about college admission interviews. The lecture began from the perspectives of universities: admission officers often look for students who show commitment, soft skills, and potential for success in the future. He portrayed interviews as an effective way for admission officers to judge whether a student fits a school, as it often reflects student backgrounds, interests, personalities, and abilities.

There are three types of interviews: on campus interviews, alumni interviews, and third party interviews, each type with its own pros and cons. For the benefit of the students, Mr. Huang also included tricks to a successful interview, emphasizing that it was important to be comfortable talking about oneself genuinely and honestly. Wrapping up, Mr. Huang even offered two students practice interviews to demonstrate his points. After the lecture, many students were greatly inspired, eager to put what they just learnt into practice.
