Pudong Grade 4: Meditation & Game Day

On September 13th, the 4th graders of SHSID Pudong Division experienced a CAS class with the combination of movement and quietude. Following the direction of the teacher, students stayed in lines and got an eyeshade one by one. After that, they sat back to their seats quietly and got ready for the meditation training. Hearing the soothing music, the students put on the eyeshades peacefully, after which they relaxed themselves and released their stress according to the audio’s instruction. It trained students’ mindfulness, concentration, and self-control as well. Right after the meditation training came the enjoyable Game time. Game time is not simply “Play time,” where the only goal is for fun and relaxation. Through different games like checkers and Jenga, Game time aimed to let students find a way to cooperate and compete. Not only did today’s activities enrich students experience, but also it taught students some practical skills.
