Grades 1-4:The presentation of summer homework

With the beginning of the new semester, we have to say goodbye to our summer holiday. G1-G4 students are glad to be back at school with their amazing summer homework. The Chinese summer project for G2 students was making a handmade book to tell what they learned during the summer holiday. Many students did great a job on this project. Some of them learned how to play the guitar and make pancakes during the summer, as well as some students who learned how to play chess in the past summer holiday. Most students made excellent handmade books by themselves. Students and teachers read those books earnestly in front of the panel.

G3 students were asked to make a poster of a Mathematician, which required a good understanding of math concepts and strong writing ability. It was a little bit challenging to make the work perfect but most students tried their best. The G3 students have learned a lot from this project.G4 students all have great dreams during the summer because of their Chinese project “If I were …” Some of them made great handmade books to tell a new story about some old tales. There were many different Monkey King and the Little Mermaid stories in G4 this year. They also have their own new stories that were very interesting. Most students improved their Chinese hand writing during the past summer.

It is very important that students did their summer homework by themselves as it was more meaningful for them. It is a good start for primary students to enjoy their new semester through the presentation of summer homework!
