Grade 10: Assembly

On the morning Sep. 4th, Mr. Pardy and Mr. Slonim gave the tenth graders an inspirational lecture about personal growth. The two teachers began by proposing one question: “How do you define yourself?” Multiple students answered that they are humans, teenagers, high school students, or sophomores. Building upon these answers, Mr. Pardy and Mr. Slonim introduced the importance of defining yourself in college applications and how to define oneself. Rather than defining oneself by scores, competitions or academic standards, they suggested that students should define themselves based on two things: passions and interests. Mr. Pardy and Mr. Slonim stressed the importance of finding the activities that one is willing to be devoted into and put in effort with strong incentives. Finally, the Personal Growth pamphlet were introduced and strongly recommended for all the students to engage in finding their passion in the incoming school year.
