Grade 12: The Senior Orientation Activities, “Discover Yourself” Day 3

On September 5th, the new seniors went to school expectantly, as the whole day was devoted to college application preparations. In group interviews, the students discussed collaboratively on a given topic, while students experienced real-life, independent mock college interviews. The judges for both sessions gave detailed advices on expression, speech, listening skills, even gestures, which will help all participants to face their future interviews confidently. In the essay workshops, students get insights from experienced teachers on their personal statements they turned in. And in the alumni panel, students admitted to distinctive colleges share their first-hand experiences with the rising seniors. The leadership workshop in the afternoon helped the students to explore the traits that set them apart, and prepare them to become leaders themselves.

All in all, skills offered by these activities will come in handy during the college application process and help the seniors to get the acceptance letter they well deserved.
