Grade 12: The Senior Orientation Activities, “Discover Yourself” Day 1

On September 2nd, 2018, SHSID's new 12th graders headed to the Sun and Moon Island for their first activity of the new semester—the action camp for self-discovery and development. Soon after the individual and group challenge, the students welcomed their largest challenge of the day--a hike for almost 4 hours, 13 kilometers along the riverbank. Students showed unparalleled perseverance and resilience throughout the hike. At sunset, students worked as a team and pitched their own tent, where they spent the night. The unusual experience of sleeping in a tent and the excitement for being in a new environment will surely keep a lot of the students awake at night. Let's nevertheless hope they will be able to equip themselves with energy and vigor for a tougher day tomorrow!
